Delivery and Collection Without a Partner

TSD DEALER's Delivery and Collection integration helps you meet your customers' needs by bringing your dealership to their driveway, facilitating a process of delivering a unit and picking up a customer's vehicle for service, then collecting the loaner unit when the repair is complete.

Key Benefits

With TSD DEALER's Delivery and Collection feature without a partner integration, you have the following features available to help you manage your deliveries and collections:

  • Easy tracking. We make deliveries and collections easy to spot in your search hubs and dashboards so you can view and edit these appointments and agreements, and close agreements when the delivery and collection is complete and the unit is returned.
  • Record mileage at your dealership and the customer's destination separately. Depending on your manufacturer, you may track Customer Miles In / Out and Dealer Miles In / Out separately on Delivery and Collection agreements.
  • Keep customers informed with emails and texts. Send automated texts and emails when they've booked an appointment, to collect a signature, and to send agreement forms.

Setup Requirements

  1. Make sure Delivery and Collection is turned on for your location. The Delivery and Collection setting must be enabled on your system, with the No Partner Delivery and Collection toggle selected.
  2. Consider other key setup options. The following management settings may come in handy when it comes to your Delivery and Collection process:

Deliver and Collect

Step 1. (Recommended) Book an Appointment with Delivery and/or Collection

Ideally, a delivery and/or collection begins with an appointment, which can be booked either directly in TSD DEALER (on the web) or through an integrated web scheduler / BDC.

  1. Mark for Delivery and/or Collection. In the Delivery & Collection section of the appointment, select the Enable toggle for delivery and/or collection.
  2. Save the appointment. The record has a Delivery tag, if marked for delivery, and a Collection tag, if marked for collection, so you can easily identify it in search results.

Step 2. Open the Agreement with Delivery and/or Collection

You can open an agreement from scratch or from an Delivery and Collection appointment,

  1. Begin the open agreement process. Pull up the appointment record, if necessary, or open the agreement from scratch. See "Open an agreement from an appointment" or "Open an agreement" for more information.
  2. Mark for Delivery and/or Collection, if needed. In the Delivery & Collection section of the appointment, select the Enable toggle for delivery and/or collection.
  3. Assign a unit and confirm fuel / battery and mileage. For deliveries, your location may support separate mileage tracking at your location and at the customer's destination (e.g., Miles Out Dealer and Miles Out Customer).

  4. Hover to view the full-sized image.

  5. Complete the open process. The record has a Delivery tag, if marked for delivery, and a Collection tag, if marked for collection, so you can easily identify it in search results.

Step 3. Deliver the Unit to the Customer

Bring the unit to your customer's delivery destination.

Step 4. Collect the Unit from the Customer

Collect the unit from your customer's collection destination.

Step 5. Close the Agreement

  1. Begin the close agreement process.See "Close an agreement" for more information.
  2. Confirm returning unit fuel / battery and mileage. For collections, your location may support separate mileage tracking at the customer's destination and at your location (e.g., Miles In Customer and Miles In Dealer ).

View Deliveries & Collections

  • On the web:  Access the Appointment Operations Dashboard to view a snapshot of appointments due for delivery today (based on Checkout Date) and open agreements due for collection today (based on Collection Date). and the Appointment Hub and Agreements Hub search filters on the Home page.

  • Hover to view the full-sized image.

  • On the mobile app: Just tap the today's list of appointments on your 'Home' screen dashboard to today's appointments marked for Delivery and Collection, along with open agreements due for collection today, based on the Collection Time. You can also tap Deliver & Collect from the sidebar menu.
